Gloss on a bare lip is a two-hour product. It looks its best at the mirror and has moved to the rim of a cup by mid-morning. - A lip balm and a tissue

- Apply balm, wait two minutes, then blot it off with the tissue. Liner grips a dry lip and slides on a balmed one.
- Line the natural edge in short strokes, starting at the peaks of the cupid's bow and working out to the corners.
- Fill the lips inward with the side of the pencil. For a soft combo fill the outer third; for a cola lip fill the whole lip.
